The RS2e is the little brother of the RS1e. The RS2e has an upgraded driver and the new 8 conductor cable design. The characteristics of the RS2e remain the same as its distinguished big brother, with the new species of hand crafted mahogany, but with a smaller wooden air chamber. Although a miniature version of the RS1e, the RS2e still maintains an overall sound that is pure Grado, warm harmonic color, full bodied vocals, excellent dynamics and ultra smooth top end. Grado's famous retro styling with a gorgeous Mahogany look make these truly an audiophile's dream.

The best headphones I have ever owned January 13, 2019
Reviewer: Frances Schaefer from Chapel Hill, NC United States
I am a professional pianist and teacher. I listen to many many styles (jazz, fusion, R&B, soul, etc.) and within the field of "classical" music, 20th and 21st century works.  Over many years earnings went to the household, maintaining my studio, music library, paying for our kids' activities. I only had "drugstore" headphones. I am an "empty nester" and have gone back to listening to a LOT of music, all the time.  A musician friend (a jazz pianist, trained composer) recommended these headphones. They are absolutely wonderful: clarity, balance and the "atmosphere" created by the acoustic space. I am so pleased! I have expanded my cd collection and have many old LPs  from my father's collection (dance band musician, music librarian, choir director, composer). The quality has astounded me from the beginning. I have had them for about a month. I purchased some Bose headphones recently but these are even better. Thank you!

Great sound July 31, 2018
Reviewer: Rick M from Portland, OR United States
I've been using a pair of Grado Prestige Series SR60e phones for a few years now, and decided that I liked them well enough to try an upgrade. The RS2e phones are noticeably clearer at all frequencies, revealing details in the music I hadn't heard with the SR60e phones.
Better sound all around; a worthwhile investment!

4 stars July 10, 2018

articulate and well detailed all through the spectrum, open spacious with a healthy bass response. Most importantly for me, VERY lightweight and comfortable especially for the long listening sessions. My ears aren't numb from over pressure.

Great Sound June 23, 2018
Reviewer: Lance Goler from New York, NY United States
So far, so good.  I'm finding the RS2e's to be great for the music I listen to most - classic jazz.  Really well done soundstage with accurate bass representation.  The only complaint I have is $170 add'l charge for XLR cable option seem unreasonable given the headphones themselves already cost $495.
