All the virtues of the PS1000e - speed, clarity & realism, but with fuller, more elastic mids & bass. Hugely revealing, it conveys what feels like musical "intention", the playing-together sense of human beings grooving, in this place, in the present. Its virtues are equal between types of music
As for the last review - "People say" is automatically a cheap shot. I've heard scandalous reputations re some product, and somehow a single flaw, a glitch, needs to be ratified by an imaginary consensus of people who have just "heard people say"; if one unit has a problem, does it downgrade the legacy of the whole company? Unfair. I've had five different models, 5 units, and they all remained sturdy & functional, when I DID want some elective work done by Grado, I was treated with respect and friendliness, and work was done well & promptly, along with a personal note. So, "People Say" Grado makes well-built products and offers first-rate customer service, like a good neighborhood shop.
