5 of 5 perfect headphone ever..... September 10, 2019
Reviewer: JUNKI LEE from seoul, Seoul South Korea
Best Grado headphone for me was Ps2000e, Rs1i before I got gs3000e. And Now I can tell you guys Gs3000e is best for me. It is surprising, amazing, fantastic! ever...

gs3000e is very similar to gs1000e, gs2000e. maybe that is why bc its name is GS3000e. but gs1000e and gs2000e have little bit sharp sound.(yeah but maybe some people like them bc of it) but gs3000e is more comportable to listen. and bass is way much clearer than 1000e, 2000e.

and I was not that surprised when I listened to ps2000e even though it could express everything on it. ps2000e was too heavy(bass and sound, not weight. ) and distracting for me. but gs3000e is very well-balanced. and compare to rs1i, I think gs3000e is everything is upgraded from rs1i.(especially staging and resolution)

I am big fan of Rock and Heavymetal. but gs3000e is just good for any kinds of music. If you like super heavy exciting sound, then just go get ps2000e. but if not, gs3000e is best way I think.

5 of 5 The Texture of Reality September 10, 2019

OK, a little pretentious and derivative, that phrase. But it captures it. I've had all the flagship Grado, and have the PS2000e for A-B comparison. PS2000e are for intends and purposes flawless. But the case has been aptly made that they are more analytical, precision tools than pleasure-listening devices (though there is no lack of musical pleasure in the dusky-chrome beauties). Simply, since I've had the GS3000e, past the honeymoon period, I listen to them at a 5-1 ratio over the PS2000e. There is an addictive textural, responsive, accurate-but-organic grip the cocobolo babies offer which takes the appeal of the top-tier Grado phones to a new level. Everything we love about the tonal accuracy and vibrance of, especially, the Statement line is more so; the bass is perfectly portrayed, with all its natural impact. I've lost a lot of sleep staying up to hear "just one more", old and new music. Micro and macro dynamics, impact, nuance, timbre, swell, and groove. They're addictive.

5 of 5 Better and Better August 24, 2019

What can I say but these are amazing! I added the XLR upgrade and am so glad I did. The balanced connection does not improve newer digitally recorded music a great deal, but I'm an old guy and most of my music is analog. These headphones make analog sound like digital.
I was a bit disappointed that these are almost impossible to fit into the large case with the XLR plug and adapter attached.
Not a big deal though.
Overall I highly recommend.

Look & Feel.
The cocobolo wood is nothing short of gorgeous. In the photographs, these look as if they would be very heavy. However, in reality they are light as a feather and very comfortable for long listening sessions.

Sound.
It has been said that Grado Headphones have a "sound." I have not found that Grado Headphones are treble-heavy as much as they let you hear the treble and midrange just as much as the bass. The GS3000e have this quality as well. You will hear with perfect clarity the highs, the mids, and the lows. It's all there. At any volume. In contrast to the PS500s, which have an almost cold, surgical precision to their sound, these are much warmer and friendlier, for lack of better terms, and yet have all the definition of the PS500s. Also in contrast to the PS500s, the soundstage is enormous. Imaging is precise.

It is way too easy to sit down with these, get lost in the music, and have several hours go by without noticing the time.

5 of 5 For the tone junkie July 6, 2019
Reviewer: William Melillo from Danbury, CT United States
As the title states, I am a tone junkie. If the tone is not right, I just can't get lost in the music.
These cans  do tone better than any other can I have heard, including my Stax rig. The Stax set-up sits idle while I go to these ( driven by SET amps ). Enough said.
Highly recommended.
