this is my fourth purchase from Grado Labs. I have found that all of the headphones I have purchased have been top quality. Have owned several brands and styles in my career.
I use these headphones for home studio recordings, mixing,
etc... love the fit and quality

5 of 5 Grado GH3 Heritage Edition Headphone July 9, 2019
Reviewer: Dale Thorn from Mount Pleasant, SC United States
The Grado GH3 earcups are quite small, which I expected for a Heritage edition that's half the cost of the older GH1 and GH2. The drivers are 44 mm, which I presume is the same with the other Heritage headphones. So the real questions for me were about the soundstage and the bass response. My listening says that the soundstage is slightly less than its larger cousins, and the bass is less strong. I've found that the quality of the GH3 is good enough that typical bass-boost settings compensate the sound nicely, while maintaining a clean tight bass. I haven't found the soundstage to suffer in any respect, but if the user demands the same absolute soundstage as the GH3's larger cousins, then they might be disappointed. Highly recommended for the value.

4 of 5 Good headphone July 9, 2019
Reviewer: Paul Hoang from Seattle, WA United States
Sound amazing for the price and look. Clear high, good bass which is surprisingly for a Grado headphone. However, it not the most comfortable to wear for a long time, a slight of pain around the ears after  wore it for a 4 hours session.

Finally, a low-profile wood ear cup with a thin cable from Grado that I can take with me on the road.  I Never liked taking my RS2e with me because of their cost and larger cable that didn't suit my portable rig. Sound wise these perform beyond my expectations; I would place these somewhere between the 325e and RS2e with a smoother mid-range than the 325e but not quite as spacious as the RS2e. These are excellent sounding headphones that I would recommend to anyone looking for a wooded Grado with portability in mind.
