Description Technical Specs

Grado's ability to combine lightness with extreme rigidity and internal damping has been put to good use on the SR125e. Based on the same design as theSR80e, the SR125e also features an improved driver and cable design utilizing UHPLC (Ultra-high purity, long crystal) copper voice coil wire. With the new 8 conductor cable design you will notice improved control and stability of the upper and lower range of the frequency spectrum, with both better supporting Grado's world renowned midrange. The Diaphragms are put through a special 'de-stressing' process in order to enhance inner detail. The way the SR125e's new driver, cable and plastic housing move air and react to sound vibrations are now less affected by transient distortions. Bass, midrange and treble are all more open and you will enjoy the fine tonal spread and balance.

Why so heavy? May 7, 2019
Reviewer: Michael Slater from Forest Hills, NY United States
This is my fourth set of Grado's, and not at all my favorite. My 60. and my 80 had longer and lighter wire from headset to connector and it makes a real difference to me. I do like the sound quality, I'd never deny that, but this new set is uncomfortable  and hard for me to work with. I'd have returned it and traded for a new 80 but I had already thrown away the shipping package.

........not a set of questions requesting me to select stars for answers, usually up to 5 stars, which is wrong, not 4 stars, which is less wrong.
Your product is great, of course, and adds measurably to my late life's quality, better even than my Zvox. AccuVoice sound bar for YouTube old movies and all music. I haven't eBayed the sound bar. When I need it in the future I will plug in your phones to the Zvox and die a happy old man.
Please put me on your/Grado's marketing email list if they have one. I can dream, can't I?
I could not express myself so beautifully with effin stars.

Quality of playback is special January 13, 2019
Reviewer: Mike Hicks from Flagstaff, AZ United States
Plugged into my PONO player, the SR125e had that 'chewy' live and exciting sound experience. The only other head phones that sounded this good are a Sony on-ear model headphone I modified for Balanced-mode use with the PONO player. What to do? I cut off the SR125e stereo cable above the "Y" junction and rewired each ear cup for balanced-mode playback. WOW! These are my daily 'listen' phones!
See my Amazon PONO player review dated April 1, 2016 for conversion info.
