I have yet to use this (as I ordered it in preparation for an upcoming move), but I believe that it should be more than appropriate for carrying Grado headphones in my backpack.
I purchased a hardcase from Amazon at 1/3 the price of this one that is far nicer. It has a foam insert that can be trimmed for a custom fit and had inside pockets. This one is nothing but a basic case but it does have the Grado name embossed on it. Which evidently is worth $50 alone!!

It is very sturdy case, nice quality. But unfortunately, slightly doesn't fit for rs1x with g cush. I'm gonna use it with B&W px8. it was v satisfying purchase.
Nice case that fits my GS1000E ... should have come with Headphones.... only suggestion is to include a mesh bag that can velcro to the inside of case to hold adapters and other items. Using web site and ordering process was good.
