The RS2e is the little brother of the RS1e. The RS2e has an upgraded driver and the new 8 conductor cable design. The characteristics of the RS2e remain the same as its distinguished big brother, with the new species of hand crafted mahogany, but with a smaller wooden air chamber. Although a miniature version of the RS1e, the RS2e still maintains an overall sound that is pure Grado, warm harmonic color, full bodied vocals, excellent dynamics and ultra smooth top end. Grado's famous retro styling with a gorgeous Mahogany look make these truly an audiophile's dream.

articulate and well detailed all through the spectrum, open spacious with a healthy bass response. Most importantly for me, VERY lightweight and comfortable especially for the long listening sessions. My ears aren't numb from over pressure.

Great Sound June 23, 2018

So far, so good.  I'm finding the RS2e's to be great for the music I listen to most - classic jazz.  Really well done soundstage with accurate bass representation.  The only complaint I have is $170 add'l charge for XLR cable option seem unreasonable given the headphones themselves already cost $495.

Unbelievable sound May 12, 2017
Reviewer: Maya Walker from Dunbarton, NH United States
I read all the reviews and was still confused about which Grado to buy. I finally chose the RS2e because numerous people said they preferred it over its more expensive sibling, and because I just liked the mahogany look. And wow. It did not disappoint. I read reviews that said with Grados you could hear the singers taking breaths and the squeak of the keys on the instruments. Yes, it's true. It takes me back to my days as a kid playing in our state orchestra. Wow. Unbelievable.
