Description Technical Specs
Mahogany and Maple, classic tone woods married in audio bliss. The GS2000e combines them in the same manner that luthiers have done for centuries, and for the same reason: resonance. Different types of wood sing with their own personalities.

The GS2000e headphones have a sound that is pure Grado: rich full-bodied vocals, excellent dynamics and an ultra smooth top end. The presentation is very detailed, the bass is deep and the music is very tight and non-fatiguing. All with a soundstage that is huge, allowing for unbelievable separation and layering of the music which is simply stunning.

A 4-pin XLR balance cable option is available. (Add $170)

Damaged GS2000e delivered June 18, 2017
Reviewer: Benno from San Francisco, CA United States
Delivery of damaged GS2000e! Clear unnatural damage on wood of $1300 headphone.  Foam of earcup has "uneven" kind of worn texture on some parts of the earcups. Rich from 4ourears offered refund, but that does not solve the problem. No business for Grado, no Gradosound for me. Other options like discount or delivery of mint GS2000e instead of damaged one are not considered by Rich. Wouldn't recommend to buy from 4ourears. This is very unexpected for me.
Earlier I asked for a detailed description of the difference in sound between the different lines of Grado headphones. Rich didn't provide me with a detailed one but a very generic one instead which hardly described the differences. I expect a lot more high quality delivery and service and good quality advice than Rich Grado from 4ourears could offer. It is clearly only selling that matters. Not recommended at all. No stars at all.

A clear upgrade March 11, 2017
Reviewer: Erez Yaary from Tel-Aviv, Israel
Have been using my RS2E for the past 2 years and thought it might be a great time to upgrade to the best wooden set of cans money can buy, and boy was I headed for a pleasant surprise!
This headset is so open and detailed, I thought my RS2E are great until I heard these ones.
I can also wear them for prolonged periods of time with much less fatigue that I'm used to.

Highly recommended!

Amazing December 1, 2016
Reviewer: Andrew from North Carolina
I got these headphones a few months after I purchased the GH-1's. I loved the GH-1's, and I still use them when I travel. However, I wanted a headphone with a similar "sound" but larger soundstage. These fit the bill perfectly. They remind me of my Harbeth 40.2's. They reproduce music with incredible accuracy without fatigue. Bass is real and deep, but not boomy. Treble is clear and airy, but not shiny. I could listen to these things all day. I highly recommend them.

Another chapter Pt.1 November 29, 2016
Reviewer: Daniel Sapen from Huntington Station, NY United States
About to foolishly spend for ANOTHER pair of headphones, I wrote to Rich Grado and asked WHY I might want these when I own the PS1K, back at the shop for a new headband. He summed it perfectly: You'd use the GS2K late at night, sipping a cognac. Not entirely broken in yet, I can say that despite looking almost indistinguishable from the GS1000, they are very, very different....different as well in key ways to the PS1000e. In short, most of the definition and presence of the latter, if not the full "meatiness", as another reviewer said, and all the virtues of the former. Add a touch of sweet bloom to the DEEP and mid-bass; lively but not strident highs, a sense of an unlimited harmonic envelope, Linn/Naim class toe-tapping "musicality", an ineffable smile-inducing feeling of rightness. I want to play audio-geek and compare when my PS1Ke come back - but these are DISTINCT, wonderful 'phones, definitely a sui generis product of musical love and refined engineering.

The most amazing experience ever October 3, 2016
Reviewer: Eitan from New York, NY United States
I have Grado 60i and 125i and as good as they sound to any other headphone that I tried it doesn't even come close to the GS2000e. It makes my existing Grados to sound like other headphones compared to Grado sound like.
The vividness, the details, the balance, the ability to manage different frequencies.
The best gift I could give myself. Chances the way you listen to music.
