Grado Reference Platinum 2 June 1, 2017
Reviewer: Jerry Martin from Longmont, CO United States
I have been a very happy Prestige Gold user for a number of years now, and love the cartridge, particularly after it gets some hours on it. However, I was intrigued when I started hearing and reading about the new Reference Platinum 2, so like a good stereoholic I had to give it a try. I have had it two weeks now and Holy Moly. This thing has an extra gear and a nitrous button. The bass is deeper, but not pushy or tubby, and the highs clear and clean with lots of air under the cymbals. The biggest thing is the instrument differentiation. Everything is clear, defined, and concise. Instruments are separated out, with each component standing on it's own. No muddiness or blurred sound. The sound field is expanded and deep. I have had very expensive MC cartridges previously, but would not give up my Platinum 2 to go back. Highly recommend this cartridge!

Grado and the whole staff at 4ourears are wonderful. The Reference Platinum 2 is everything I heard about. Excellent sound throughout. Works well on my Onkyo turntable. Sturdy well made cartridge that is worth the price.

A New Grado At Last December 1, 2016
Reviewer: William Irby from Athens, AL United States
I have had three Grado cartridges over the years including a Signature 8 that has had a few styli. I've also use Grado headphones. I am definitely on board with Brooklyn HiFi (we have Ohm Speakers). This most recent purchase has been very rewarding. I am running it in a VPI Scout through a Belles Aria preamp. The sound is warm as well as detailed. Besides the obvious sonic benefit, it looks really cool!

My turntable never had it so good. The cartridge does as advertised with a warm clean sound on all I play. I got music once again that was missing for many years. This is a great investment for my ears. Thanks to all for building me a wonderful transducer.
